Privacy Policy

Last updated: October 17, 2026

Mila ("we", "us") is operated by Dana Vulevic and Cara Murray. Mila helps creators understand which of their Threads posts perform well and what to post next. This policy explains what data we collect, why, and the choices you have.

What we collect

  • Account details: your email address and the name you give us when you sign up.
  • Threads data, only when you connect your Threads account: your Threads user ID and username, your public posts (text, type, date and link), and insights for your own account and posts (views, likes, replies, reposts, quotes, shares, link clicks and follower count).
  • Access token: a secure token from Meta that lets us read the data above. We store it encrypted and never show it to anyone.
  • Your answers: quiz answers and notes you enter in the app.
  • Usage and payment data: basic product usage. Payments are handled by Stripe; we do not store card numbers. If you join our affiliate program, we also collect your payout details and the referral links and sign-ups credited to you.

We only request the Threads permissions threads_basic and threads_manage_insights. We cannot post, reply or delete anything on your account.

How we use it

  • To show you how your posts perform compared with your own average.
  • To tag and group your posts and suggest what to post next.
  • To send you product emails you asked for, such as your weekly summary.
  • To keep the service secure, fix bugs and improve it.

We do not sell your data. We do not use your Threads data to train AI models, and we never show one user's data to another user.

Who we share it with

We use trusted service providers who process data only to run Mila: Supabase (database and login), our hosting provider, Stripe (payments), Kit (email), and an AI provider used to generate suggestions from your post text. We may also disclose data if the law requires it.

How long we keep it

We keep your data while your account is active. When you disconnect Threads, we stop reading new data. When you delete your account or ask us to delete your data, we remove it within 30 days (see our Deletion Instructions page).

Your rights

You can ask to see, correct, export or delete your data at any time by emailing support@hellomila.net. If you are in the EU, UK or another region with data protection law, you also have the rights that law gives you, including the right to complain to your local data protection authority.

Children

Mila is not for anyone under 18. We do not knowingly collect data from children.

Security

Tokens are encrypted, access to data is restricted, and connections use HTTPS. No system is perfectly secure, and we will tell you promptly if a breach affects you.
